Understanding more about bloating

Bloating is a common condition affecting up to 1 in 3 adults. It usually feels like your abdomen is uncomfortably full and tight and it may be visibly swollen. Eating too much won’t necessarily cause you to have a bloated stomach, but it may leave you feeling bloated and uncomfortable.

Bloating can be caused by the type of foods we eat and the way you have eaten those foods – rushing meals and not chewing food properly while eating are all factors that can contribute to that bloated feeling of discomfort that we all experience from time to time. But everyone is different, with different digestive systems. Foods that might be a problem food for you, and cause you to feel more bloated, might be perfectly fine for someone else.
