With Kellogg’s help I analysed my soil so I can give my land exactly what it needs. Now I fertilise the crops 3 times instead of only 2, and this year we’re trying out a new fertiliser plan to improve crop nutrition.

The packed beach is only 500 metres from our fields, with families cooking up feasts of paella, roasted meats, and fish.
The first thing I do in the morning is look out of the window to check the weather. From the good to the bad, everything on the farm is connected to nature.
My grandson really likes Choco Krispies and my daughter in law has Special K… both contain rice from right here in the Delta region.
The Programme also helped put up bat boxes to encourage roosting on the farm.
They eat predators and protect the crops naturally, reducing the need for pesticides.
Working on a farm is hard, but it’s the best work out.
My doctor says I should go to the gym, but I would rather be working…that’s better than any gym I say.
Crayfish would burrow along the banks and drain away water for the crops. With help from the programme we’ve planted Irises, their roots stop the crayfish, plus they brighten up the fields.
End of April it floods.
By the beginning of May we can sow.
Everything is green.
We harvest in October when the crops are golden.
Start of the year the fields are like a desert.
