All-Bran Beef Burgers
When serving a crowd, make these into sliders and serve on soft brioche rolls.
- 40g Kellogg's All-Bran Original cereal
- 500g or 1lb lean ground beef
- 125ml tomato sauce
- 1 small onion
- 5ml or 1tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4tsp pepper
- 1 pinch garlic powder
- 10 small round buns
- As Desired Condiments
Makes : 10 small burgers or 6 regular burgers
1. In large bowl, combine first 8 ingredients. Stir well with fork until thoroughly mixed. Shape into 10 small (or 6) round burger shapes about 1.5 cm thick.
2. Grill the burgers for 10-15 minutes, turning once, or place on a lightly greased pan for about 4 minutes per side or until browned and no longer pink inside. Serve on buns with condiments.
Whenever cooking with raw meats, ensure safe internal temperature is reached.
VARIATION: Using a level 15 ml (1 tbsp) measure, shape beef mixture into 40 meatballs. Place on shallow baking pan. Bake at 180°C 15-20 minutes or until browned and no longer pink inside. Serve with your favourite canned or homemade sauce.
