Uri Geller delighted hundreds of workers at Kellogg’s and The Co-operative today by using the powers of the mind to bend spoons into extraordinary shapes.
The famous mystifier was in Manchester as part of Kellogg’s personalised Spoon campaign, which gives shoppers the chance to get a free spoon with the codes from three packs of Kellogg’s cereal.
At Kellogg’s UK head office in Stretford, Uri entertained the crowds with stories about his life, bent several spoons, and left his thumbprint in the back of a spoon.
Uri silenced any unbelievers by bending a hastily gathered set of garden-variety spoons straight from the Kellogg’s canteen.
Workers rushed to get their spoon signed by the star, and he happily allowed everyone to take a #spoonselfie.
Uri said: “I’m really excited to be a part of the Kellogg’s project and hope everyone will pick up their free, personalised spoon to eat their favourite cereal with.”
Kellogg’s spokeswoman Louise Thompson-Davies said: “We’re delighted to have Uri in Manchester for the day. Everyone has been buzzing since his spoon-bending masterclass.
“He’s been a real pleasure to work with throughout our personalised Spoon campaign, and he’s never short of a tale to tell.”
