There are links to all participating zoo and aquarium websites via the Kellogg’s website. On the zoo or aquarium’s own site you will be able to find details on how to get to the zoo or aquarium and all the relevant contact information.
When successfully entering the competition via SMS, you will receive a text message containing an animal fact and a link to access Kellogg’s Zoo Keeper WAP site. The WAP site will give you the option to download an animal ringtone of your choice.
A WAP Site is a website that can be viewed using internet access from a mobile phone. Your mobile phone must be WAP enabled. (WAP stands for Wireless Application Protocol.)
This will depend on your handset and will therefore vary from mobile to mobile. If you are able to scroll through the text message and highlight the WAP link, your menu will bring up options such as ‘Open’ or ‘Get link’ and selecting this will automatically connected to the site.
If you are not able to select the link within the message, check your options menu and select ‘Use Detail’ then ‘Web Site’. The WAP site address will appear and selecting ‘Go To’ will connect you to the site. Please be aware that the exact menu options may differ depending on your mobile and we have provided common examples.
Once you have accessed the Kellogg’s Zoo Keeper WAP site, you are able to scroll through and choose which ringtone you would like to download. Highlight the animal ringtone you would like and select the relevant option on your handset to download. Once the ringtone has been downloaded you will have various options such as ‘Play’ or ‘Set as Ringtone’ depending on your handset.
After you have downloaded the ringtone successfully your mobile will give you various options, one of which should be ‘Set as Ringtone’ or ‘Use’ which will set this as your current ringtone.
Kellogg’s does not charge you anything to access or download the ringtones on this WAP site however your network provider may charge you to access the internet on your phone or to download ringtones. This will be dependent on your service provider and tariff. For further information on the costs involved, please contact your network directly.
To access the WAP site ensure your handset is WAP compatible and that your WAP service is activated. To activate your WAP services please contact your network provider. Alternatively, click on the link below that relates to your specific network operator for further information.
This is dependant on your handset and mobile memory space. You may need to make space by deleting existing data. In addition you may have to overwrite an existing ringtone to be able to save your new ringtone.
Your phone will need to support either MP3 or AMR files for the downloaded ringtone to play successfully. If the file is showing as downloaded but will not play, you will need to check with your service provider if your phone supports these file types.
This problem is most likely caused by a lack of storage space in your mobile’s memory. It may be necessary to make space by deleting existing data.
The location of your stored ringtone depends on your handset. Check in your gallery or folders where your standard mobile ringtones are stored. Some phones confirm where the ringtone has been stored at the time of download.
