Easter Egg Dippers

Mum rating:

Method

  1.  Put the butter in a large saucepan and melt over a low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until the mixture is completely melted, then remove from the heat.
  2.  Next add the Rice Krispies and stir until well coated.
  3.  Using a large buttered spoon, divide the warm cereal mixture into portions. Allow to cool a little. Mould each portion into 2 ½" x 2 ½" egg shapes.
  4.  Heat the chocolate over a low heat until melted, stirring constantly. Then dip one half of the cereal eggs into the chocolate and decorate with sprinkles.
  5.  Place on greaseproof paper, and pop in the fridge until chocolate is firm.

Microwave directions

Heat the butter and marshmallows in a microwave-safe bowl on HIGH for 3 minutes. After 2 minutes, stir the mixture until it's smooth. Then simply follow steps 2-5 above. Microwave cooking times may vary.
