Snappy Butterscotch Squares

Method

  1.  Put the butter in a large saucepan and melt over a low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until the mixture is completely melted, then remove from the heat and add the pudding mix.
  2.  Next add the Rice Krispies and stir until well coated.
  3.  Using a buttered spatula, press the mixture evenly into a 13" x 9" x 2" greased baking tray. Allow to cool.
  4.  Cut into 2" squares. Brilliant!

Microwave directions

Heat the butter and marshmallows in a microwave-safe bowl on HIGH for 3 minutes. After 2 minutes, stir the mixture until it's smooth. Next, add the pudding mix. Then simply follow steps 2-4 above. Microwave cooking times may vary.

What you need...

  • 45g butter or margarine
  • 300g (about 40) marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons butterscotch flavour instant pudding
  • 180g Kellogg's Rice Krispies
