Method

  1.  Put the butter in a large saucepan and melt over a low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until the mixture is completely melted, then remove from the heat.
  2.  Next add the Rice Krispies and stir until well coated.
  3.  Put dollops of the warm mixture into paper cases in a 16-hole greased cake tray and mould each dollop around the edge of its case to create a hollow space. Allow to cool. Remove the hollow cups from the cases. Just before serving fill with the ice cream or frozen yogurt flavour of your choice.
  4.  Then garnish with ice cream topping, or nuts if desired. Serve immediately.

Microwave directions

Heat the butter and marshmallows in a microwave-safe bowl on HIGH for 3 minutes. After 2 minutes, stir the mixture until it's smooth. Then simply follow steps 2-4 above. Microwave cooking times may vary.

What you need...

  • 45g butter or margarine
  • 300g (about 40) marshmallows
  • 180g Kellogg's Rice Krispies
  • Ice cream or frozen yogurt
  • Ice cream topping, and/or chopped nuts
