The Kellogg’s/ asa Awards Scheme
The successful Kellogg’s / asa Award Scheme has rewarded more than 17 million children and adults with swimming badges and certificates ranging from entry level and adult and child Duckling Awards, to the more challenging National Swim awards which test swimmers on all strokes and aquatic sports. Kellogg’s hosts the Swimtastic Awards every October to celebrate outstanding achievements in the pool.
Kellogg’s Swim Active
The Kellogg’s Swim Active programme was launched in 2006 and funds over 50 community projects which aim to break down any barriers people may have that prevent them from participating in swimming. Examples of Swim Active projects include providing free swimming for children during the school holidays, providing transport to pools in rural locations and introducing special lessons for disabled children.
Team Kellogg’s
Since 2006 Kellogg’s has been sponsoring five elite athletes in their quest for medal success in the pool, starting at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi and ending up at the London Olympics in 2012. The five athletes, Cassie Patten, Hannah Miley, Nick Robinson-Baker, Olivia Allison and Jenna Randall - collectively known as Team Kellogg’s - will receive invaluable coaching and training to keep them at the top level. They will also act as mentors a group of twelve rising stars by offering advice and support as they rise through the ranks of British swimming.
