Fibre is an essential part of our daily diet yet eight out of 10 Britons still aren’t getting enough.
By boosting your intake of fibre at breakfast you are more likely to achieve your recommended intake of fibre for the day.
The Food Standards Agency says a good way of doing this is eating more fibre-rich starch foods, such as high fibre breakfast cereals or wholegrain bread.
That’s why Kellogg’s has been helping people top up their fibre levels since 1916 when we launched Kellogg’s All-Bran, the world’s first high fibre bran breakfast cereal.
But it’s important to check the food label to see how much fibre is in your chosen breakfast cereal. Not all cereals are high in fibre, particularly those which claim to be full of wholegrain. If it's high in fibre it will say so on the label.
Today, a serving of Kellogg’s Bran Flakes provides around 20% of your daily fibre needs and Kellogg’s All-Bran provides 50%.
