Kellogg’s has today announced that comedian Rob Brydon will front a new £13m marketing campaign for its Crunchy Nut cereal brand.
The Welsh star will take on the alias of a newsreader, Bruce Bowls, in a series of comical new TV and radio advertisements that will communicate the irresistible tastiness of Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut.
The new campaign also introduces consumers to the new-look packaging featuring a striking, striped bowl. The new pack is aimed at giving the cereal and its variants – Crunchy Nut Bites, Crunchy Nut Clusters and Crunchy Nut Nutty - greater stand-out on shelf.
The TV and radio advertising will also be supported by outdoor advertising and a large-scale digital campaign utilising social media to engage with consumers and communicate to the massive online community.
“I’m delighted to be a part of such a popular brand and am looking forward to bringing my new character, Bruce Bowls, to life,” said Rob Brydon.
“We’ve had a lot of fun shooting the adverts and hopefully all the Crunchy Nut fans out there will like the finished result,” Rob added.
Kellogg’s has a proud history of using celebrities in its advertising. Famous names that have previously endorsed the company’s cereals include Jonathan Ross, Ross Kemp, Lisa Snowdon, Ian Wright, Dame Kelly Holmes and most recently Sir Chris Hoy.

The new advertising has been written and created by Leo Burnett.
