“It took Kellogg's a while to come up with a muesli range that will be able to compete in the current market, but it was worth the wait. I have a feeling great thought was put into designing the products and they really tried to put the consumer’s taste buds first by coming up with more exciting flavour combinations."

“The muesli base is a mix of oats and barley, sweetened with honey and a little sugar and baked into small clusters. Baking toasts the grains making them taste wonderfully nutty with a good crunch that remains crisp even after a few minutes soaking in milk. The honey adds just the right amount of sweetness, making the baked muesli a sort of less sweet take on granola.

I was really impressed with the generous quality and quantity of the added fruits and nuts. They were in big chunks rather than little pieces and full of flavour. They have also been more adventurous than your standard muesli, including ingredients such as dried blackcurrants, freeze dried cherries and cashew nuts. There was also no small dusty bits lurking in the bottom of the packets as can sometimes happen with muesli.”

“I have always liked muesli and was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the crunchy oaty flakes and the juicy fruit, the main bonus is that it does not resemble rabbit food or have the 'dust' that’s quite common of muesli!”

Raspberry and cherry: The overall winner for me by a country mile, oaty crunchy goodness with tangy flavourful raspberries and cherries, this is as close to my idea of perfect muesli as I'm ever likely to find in a box!

One thing that really impressed me about these was that there was nothing strange or artificial in the ingredients list, in fact I think I have almost everything I need to make my own in my cupboards right now!”

“According to the blurb on the packets, Kellogg’s Nature’s Pleasure is a baked muesli: whole grains (wheat, oats, barley) are tossed with raw cane sugar, honey and sunflower oil and baked.  To my mind, it is more of a granola than a muesli due to the baking, but this is the tiniest of quibbles.

It is very clear from the packaging that Kellogg’s are aiming this at health-conscious consumers and while this product isn’t organic, it could well tempt customers who are.  Every ingredient listed on the packaging is recognisable and natural, which is both refreshing and reassuring.”

“Not being the most patient of all people, I tried the first flavour (Apple & Blackcurrant) straight away, and I have to say I liked what I tasted and tasting my way through the other boxes didn't disappoint either. The muesli is nice and crunchy because it is baked, full of grains, oats, nuts and/or dried fruit, it has no weird stuff added and because it is sweetened it does actually taste like a treat, unlike some of the other more 'worthy' type mueslis that don't contain sugar and sometimes taste a bit like cardboard.

I have to say that the Apple and Blackcurrant flavour is definitely my favourite, probably because of the hint of cinnamon and it generally just has a really good balance of flavours, but I wouldn't say no to a bowl of any of them to start the day.”

“The things that I liked best about the range were the fact that they contain nothing weirder that bicarbonate of soda - no E-numbers or palm oil or anything; the fact that they are not too sweet; and the delicious toasty flavour and crunch that baking imparts, setting it apart from unbaked mueslis without losing the virtuous bits.”

“I'm not a muesli fan, or at least I wasn't. I don't care for soft, powdery muesli mushed in milk. This one was different, it was baked. That meant crispy, crunchy muesli that remained.... crispy and crunchy in the milk! There're 4 flavours to choose from and for me, the cherry and raspberry one was tops...”

“The almond, pecan and raisin flavour is my second favourite because of the raisins and I think my first favourite is the blackcurrant and apple one. I think it is toasted so it has a nice texture and taste. It feels very hearty and warm and it fills the morning hunger gap quite nicely.”

“The result is a faintly sweet and completely delicious muesli that goes very well with Greek yoghurt as well as the more usual milk. It retains its crunch and was as good at breakfast as it was at two o’clock in the morning when post pub hunger struck.

Nutritionally, too, it’s pretty good. 9% RDA of calories, 10% RDA of sugars, 3% RDA sat fats, almost no salt.”

“I am really impressed with this muesli. Before Nature’s Pleasure, it was quite a chore finding the right muesli at the supermarket because the flavours were always so generic, the packaging lack-lustre and none had the crunch I was looking for. To get the best stuff, you had to pay a little more and feel the pain of parting with that extra cash. Nature’s Pleasure is affordable and quite addictive. I find myself mixing this in with my Kellogg’s Just Right or Fruit n Fibre in the morning; snacking on a handful mid-afternoon; mixing heaped tablespoonful of it into my evening pot of Activia yoghurt. I can’t get enough! Another plus point is that this muesli does not go soggy! Brilliant isn’t it? Crunch all the way to heaven.”
