Vitamin DVitamin D

Vitamin D is often referred to as the ‘sunshine vitamin’ because our skin can produce it from the sun’s ultra violet light (UVB). It helps control the amount of calcium we absorb and is essential for developing and maintaining strong bones. It’s important for everyone, but especially for children because their bones are still growing and developing.

In the UK’s winter months particularly, it may be more difficult for people to get the Vitamin D they need from sunshine. It’s possible to get it from a small number of the foods we eat, but not many.

DID YOU KNOW?
Not many foods are naturally high in Vitamin D – oily fish is one of the few.

So Kellogg’s has decided to add Vitamin D to the entire Coco Pops range. Each 30g bowl of Coco Pops Original, Coco Pops Moons and Stars and Choc N Roll will provide 25% of the recommended daily amount (RDA) and a 30g bowl of Rocks will provide 10% of the RDA.

Just so you know, each 30g bowl of Coco Pops Moons and Stars, or Choc and Roll contains 8g of sugar; Rocks contains 9g, Coco Pops Original contains 11g. This is 9-12% of your GDA for sugar. Enjoy them as part of a balanced diet and active lifestyle.
