How many codes do I need to enter?


3 x 9 alpha codes (letter codes).

Where can I find my codes?


Printed on the reverse of the front of the pack.


How do I apply?


Postal or online.

How long will it take to process my application?


Please allow 21 days from receipt of application for delivery of the ticket.

How many tickets can I apply for in one time?


As long as you collect 3 x codes for each application you can apply for as many as you like if applying by post, don’t forget to put each of your applications into a separate envelope.

What is the closing date for applications?


The closing date for applications of the promotion is 30th June 2008.

Where is my nearest cinema?

Can I visit cinemas in London with this ticket?


Yes the ticket is valid at any participating cinema across the country.

Do I need to buy an adult ticket to redeem the kids ticket?


No, just turn up to the cinema and watch a film of your choice. (Unless the film is a 12A film)

I have received my paper ticket, how does it work?


Present your paper ticket to the cashier at any participating cinema and tell them the film you wish to watch. The cashier will then detach the ticket and give you back your stub and will direct you to your screen.

Are there any ticket restrictions?


No, you can visit any participating cinema at any time; the ticket is only valid for kids under 15 years of age. You can view the promotion terms and conditions here.

Are the tickets only valid to see Shrek the Third?


No, you can watch any film, as long as the film certificate is for under 15's.

How many times can I use my ticket?


Your ticket is for one use only.

What is the validity of the ticket?


The ticket is valid up until 31st August 2008.

Can I use the ticket to book seats for my local cinema?


Unfortunately you cannot pre-book on-line, via telephone or at the cinema with the ticket.

What film certificate categories is the ticket eligible for?


UK

U (Universal) - The film is suitable for audiences aged four and over.

PG (Parental Guidance) - General viewing, but some scenes may be unsuitable for some children.

12A - No one under the age of 12 may see the film unless they are accompanied by a guardian aged 18 and over. Please see specific advice given to each film for further guidance.

G (General) - The film should be suitable for children of school going age.

Card Tickets - Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland

Where can I use my cinema ticket card?


You’re free to use your cinema ticket card at any cinema in Ireland where you see the Maestro sign.

I have received my card ticket, how does it work?


When you recieve your ticket you must sign it on the reverse strip. If you intend on giving the ticket to someone else to use, they will need to sign it instead. Present your card to the cashier at any participating cinema who will take your ticket from you, give you back a ticket stub and direct you to your screen.

Can I use my cinema ticket card more than once?


Unfortunately not, your ticket is valid for 1 use only. Your card expires after one transaction.

Can I use my cinema ticket card at an ATM or get cashback?


This is a preloaded cinema ticket card, and should not be mistaken for a credit/debit card. It is not transferable for cash, and cannot be used at an ATM or for cashback in-store.

Can I use my cinema ticket card on the internet or via phone bookings?


Unfortunately you can not book online with the ticket; you will need to visit your local cinema.

Can I reload my cinema ticket card?


It is not possible to add credit to your cinema ticket card, as the cinema will retain the card after one use.

Can I give my cinema ticket to a friend instead of using it myself?


Until you sign your cinema ticket card, you are free to present the cinema ticket card to a friend or relative for their use. That person will then be responsible for its proper use. Once signed, we recommend that you keep the card secure at all times and do not permit another person to use it.

Can I use my cinema ticket as proof of identification?


No, your card is not a debit or credit card it cannot be used as proof of identification, or against purchases which require additional ID.

Can I use more than one ticket per visit to the cinema?


Your ticket is for one use only, if you are visiting the cinema with your family or a group of friends you can use as many tickets as you like per film.

Do I have to use my cinema ticket within a certain time limit?


Your cinema ticket is valid until 31st August 2008. Please do not attempt to use your cinema ticket after the expiry date, as the transaction will be declined.

I haven’t been sent a pin number, how do I use my card?


You do not need a pin number to make your purchases. Simply present your card at the cinema.

My card has been lost/stolen. What should I do?


If it is lost or stolen, you may lose some or all of the funds on the card. As a result, it is recommendable to keep your card safe and secure at all times.

If you suspect that your card has been lost, stolen, or used by somebody other than you, please call Maestro directly on +44 (0) 870 609 3146.
Please note that you are responsible if your card has been lost as a result of personal negligence.

Do I have to register/activate my cinema ticket card before use?


Your cinema ticket will be delivered activated and ready to use! It is recommended to sign the signature strip on the reverse of your card.
