Adopt a Monkey Terms and Conditions
- Applicants must be 18 or over, or have parental / guardian's consent to apply. Monkey adoptions are available to residents of the UK, CI, IoM and RoI only.
- To claim your monkey adoption pack, collect 3 x different codes which can be found displayed on the top of promotional packs, enter the codes and all details on the online entry form at www.adoptamonkey.co.uk or www.adoptamonkey.ie. Details required are:
- Name
- Email address
- Age
- Gender
- Kellogg's reserves the right to refuse any adoption applications if there is suspicion surrounding the collection of entry codes.
- Each adoption pack contains:
- 1 x certificate of adoption
- 1 x high resolution photograph of the adopted monkey
- Access to a webpage with the adopted monkey's full story, regular updates on your monkey (approximately bi-monthly) and information regarding the Born Free sanctuary where the monkey is cared for
- 1 x pincode that entitles the consumer to a set of stickers containing a photo of their monkey with a £1 or €1 contribution towards P&P.
- To obtain stickers showing your adopted monkey, click through to the Snapfish website from the Kellogg's site and set up a Snapfish account. By setting up this account you agree to allow Snapfish to contact you via email regarding this and other promotional offers. An opt-out option will be available on each piece of promotional communication you receive. Once you have set up your account, upload the photo of your monkey and use the pincode provided with your adoption pack to obtain your stickers.
- All sticker orders will be fulfilled via www.snapfish.co.uk or www.snapfish.ie
- A valid credit card is required to claim the stickers. Consumers can claim their stickers for a contribution of £1 or €1 towards postage and packaging. This cost will be deducted from the registered credit card. No other costs will be deducted from the card unless consumers wish to purchase further items from Snapfish.
- We regret to inform consumers that due to the unfortunate circumstances of Snapfish retail partners (Klick and Max Spielmann) going into administration, it will no longer be possible to pick up stickers for free at Snapfish UK retail partner outlets. Stickers can still be claimed and sent to your home for a £1 or €1 contribution towards postage and packaging. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
- This promotion is an online promotion only, there is no postal or telephone application route.
- The images of the adopted monkeys are for consumer's personal use only. It is not permitted to use these images for any commercial purpose.
- Applicants must be 18 or over, or have parental / guardian's consent to apply.
- There is a maximum of 1 adoption application per email address.
- Closing date for adoption applications is 31st March 2010.
- Each adoption package offers the consumer a share of the adopted monkey. It is not possible to exclusively adopt any of the monkeys.
- In the unlikely event of an adopted monkey passing away, the consumers who adopted that monkey will be offered an alternative monkey that they can adopt for the remainder of their 6 month adoption term.
- Each application must be made on the official online application form. Kellogg's will not accept responsibility for any applications lost or delayed in transmission.
- No cash or alternative can be offered in replacement for the adoption package.
- Monkey adoptions are strictly not for resale via any means (including eBay).
- Acceptance of these terms and conditions is a condition of application. Please make note of these terms and conditions for future reference.
- At the end of the 6 month adoption period, the adoption will cease. Consumers can apply for a further adoption of the same, or alternative, monkey provided the application is made prior to the closing date of 31st March 2010.

- The draw is open to residents of the UK, RoI, CI and IoM. Entrants must be 18 or over. The draw excludes employees (and their families) of Kellogg’s or Tesco, their agencies or any other company or person professionally connected with the promotion.
- Closing Date 30th May 2009.
- Kellogg’s will not accept responsibility for any entries corrupted, damaged, delayed or lost for any reason whatsoever.
- There is 1 prize consisting of a 10 night break to South Africa for 2 adults and 2 children
- The winner will be drawn under independent supervision and notified by telephone within 4 weeks of the closing date.
- The prize is for 2 adults and 2 children (aged 2-11 years old) and includes:
- Return flights from London Heathrow to Cape Town
- Transfers to and from the airport within South Africa
- 3 nights 5* accommodation at the Radisson Hotel on a B&B Basis
- Transfers to Spier
- 2 nights at 4* accommodation at the Spier Hotel on B&B Basis
- Internal flights to Port Elizabeth and transfers to Shamwari
- 3 nights –5* accommodation at the Riverdene Lodge on an all inclusive basis including 2 game drives daily
- Return transport from a winner’s home to London Heathrow is the responsibility of the winner
- The winner is responsible for any additional expenses, including all incidentals, not listed as part of the prize package above.
- In the unlikely event accommodation is unavailable within the Raddison and Spier hotels winners, will be provided alternative 5* accommodation.
- The prize must be taken within the months of June, July or August 2009 or June, July or August 2010. Travel is subject to date availability. The prize must be taken by 31st of August 2010.
- The winner must make bookings at least 30 days prior to preferred departure dates.
- All travellers must be in possession of a valid 10-year passport, and must have a minimum of 90 days validity for the duration of the prize break.
- All travellers must be in possession of any applicable visas and valid travel insurance.
- The winner is able to extend their trip at their own expense subject to booking availability.
- No cash or other alternative prize is available in whole or in part, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control, the travel provider reserves the right to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value.
- The promoter will take all reasonable steps to contact the winner but in the event of failure to do so within 28 days it reserves the right at its absolute discretion to withdraw prize entitlement and award the prize to a substitute winner drawn at the same time as the original. In this event the original winner will forfeit any rights to a prize.
