Today, local employer Kellogg’s* was included in the prestigious FT 50 Best Workplaces list alongside companies such as Volkswagon Group, Danone and General Mills.
Kellogg’s, one of the biggest employers in Manchester, provides employees with perks such as flexible working, ‘summer hours’ and it’s Fit for Life, Fit For Work programme creating a ‘great place to work’ culture throughout the business.

Kellogg’s had to provide evidence of different workplace initiatives including: inspiring employees, regular communication and listening, thanking and caring for employees, as part of the entry for the FT 2008 ‘Best Workplaces’ List. A questionnaire was also sent to over 300 employees to get their feedback on Kellogg’s as a workplace. -

The entry was based on employees at the Manchester head office. Summer Hours Employees must have completed a full week’s hours by 12pm on Friday in order to benefit from Friday’s afternoon off as part of the summer hours scheme.
