Trade Sector Controller, Convenience Channel

Reporting to the Sales Manager, I’m responsible for the Symbol & High Street channel. This is a sales driven role that focuses on accounts like Spar and Boots amongst others. We want to build business with our trading partners in a profitable, sustainable and mutually beneficial way.

My career with Kellogg’s began 16 years ago in The Netherlands as a Sales Rep. I then moved into Junior Account Management and Account Management before becoming Sales Manager for The Netherlands. I then moved to Australia to be National Sales Manager Trade Marketing and Category Management, before taking on my current role.

Kellogg’s is a great environment to work in with strong brands. They’re open to ideas of change, you’re encouraged to think outside the box and you’ll be listened to and given opportunities to change things or use a different approach.

I’ve been quite fortunate in my roles so far and have had lots of opportunities for development. Kellogg’s have shown their commitment and belief in me and through that commitment I’ve managed to achieve my professional and personal ambitions.

Even though I’ve worked for Kellogg’s in 3 different countries, the culture is pretty much the same wherever you are - people are valued, treated with respect and we all work hard. This consistent culture is one of the things that makes Kellogg’s unique.

I’ve kept in touch with some former colleagues who’ve moved to other companies. They tell me they would rejoin more or less straight away if they could. After 16 years I still believe it’s a great place to work.
