Loretta Mills
Loretta Mills – Commercialisation Finance Manager, Benelux & ROI
I joined Kelloggs in April 2007 as a Financial Analyst for the Intercompany team in the European Financial Shared Service Centre. The EFSC is a great place to work as it offers the opportunity to partner with many different markets across Europe and get a great base understanding of many of the key financial processes that support the day to day activities while partnering with a number of different departments and teams.
I did a few different roles in the EFSC including Intercompany team lead and Project manager for a small automation project. Throughout this period I was also sponsored to complete my CIMA qualification.
In 2009 I moved on to a large European Finance project team which set up a European Finance Centre of Excellence based in the European Headquarters to support the local market finance teams and to drive standardisation across Europe. My key responsibilities were to manage and design the implementation of the new Service Delivery Model and on-line portal for distributing financial reports.
Following the successful sign off of the project I relocated to Ireland in August 2010 and started my new role as Commercialisation Finance Business Partner for the ROI market. This was a very exciting move as I would be a member of a team that would be critical in making the vision become a success and being part of shaping the future for Finance. My key responsibilities were to be the main point of contact in the COE for the local Finance Director, manage the month end close, support the Budget & Forecasting processes, innovation financials and scenario building and provide insightful variance analysis.
The role offers the opportunity for me to build on my understanding of the different business environments the markets operate in and how their trade structures vary across Europe. Since relocating I have also taken on responsibility for supporting the Benelux markets providing me visibility to another European region allowing me to identify further opportunities to standardise and build my commercial understanding.
